A trailer for the Steve Jobs biopic starring Ashton Kutcher as the Apple co-founder debuted on Instagram a few days ago. Open Road Films created what is now the first Instagram movie trailer, managing to make those 15 seconds captivating enough to leave viewers wanting more.
Unlike The Wolverine Vine “tweaser” (Twitter teaser) which only allows enough time for cool action shots, Jobs Instagram Video teaser has the time to tell a story of a man, his dream and his rise to greatness. Another win for Instagram Video.
Do these super-short clips allow viewers enough of a preview to decide whether it’s a film they’ll want to spend money on? Is Hollywood adjusting to the social mobile era, or is this just a fad?
